Application:
(1)2,4-Dichloro-5-Methylpyrimidine is used for the synthesis of thickened cyclic dihydrofuran analogues, which act as modulators of the G protein-coupled receptor GPR119 for the treatment of diabetes mellitus, obesity and dyslipidaemia.
(2)2,4-Dichloro-5-Methylpyrimidine is also used as intermediates in the synthesis of drugs for the treatment of Almotsheimer's disease and schizophrenia.
