3,4-Difluoronitrobenzene is used for the synthesis of nitrogen-carbon linked (azobenzylphenyl) oxazolidinones with antimicrobial activity. It was also used for the preparation of both piperazinylphenyl and piperidinylphenyl substituted oxazolidinones with antimicrobial activity.
