    Product Description:

Butachlor is an amide-based systemic conductive selective pre-emergence herbicide, also known as dechlorfenac, metolachlor and methomyl, which is a light yellow oily liquid with a slightly aromatic odour. It is insoluble in water and easily soluble in a variety of organic solvents. It is chemically stable at room temperature and under neutral and weakly alkaline conditions. Its decomposition is accelerated under strong acid conditions and can be degraded in  soils. Low toxicity to humans and animals, irritating to skin and eyes, highly toxic to fish. It is absorbed mainly through young weed shoots and to a lesser extent through the roots. When absorbed by plants, butachlor inhibits and destroys proteases in the body, affecting protein formation and inhibiting the normal growth and development of young weed shoots and roots, thus killing the weed.

    Application:

(1)It is a highly effective and low toxicity pre-emergence herbicide, mainly used for the control of most annual grasses and some dicotyledonous weeds in dryland crops.

(2)It is mainly used for the control of annual grass weeds and some broadleaf weeds in direct seeded or transplanted rice fields.
