Lubricant; emulsifier; tackifier. This product can be used in cosmetics and topical preparations. In topical formulations, increase the viscosity of w/o and o/w emulsions. It can stabilize emulsions and have a co-emulsifying effect, thus reducing the amount of surfactants required to form stable emulsions. It is also used in the preparation of non-aqueous creams and lipsticks.
