Product Description:
Chlorosulfonic acid (chemical formula: ClSO2OH) is a colorless or light yellow liquid, with a pungent smell, smoke in the air, It can react violently with water, giving off a lot of heat and even an explosion, so users should strictly in accordance with the relevant provisions of the correct use. This product is prepared by the synthesis of gaseous sulfur trioxide and hydrogen chloride.
Application: Mainly used as sulfonating agent for manufacture of sulfonamides.saccharin and dye intermediates, as well as for manufacture of pesticides, detergents, ion-exchange resins, plastics, etc. It is also used as smoke screen agent in the military.
