    Solubility Insoluble in water.

    Property:

1.Insoluble in water. Sensitive to light. Needs to be stored in the dark. Incompatible with oxidising agents and light.

2.Diethylene glycol divinyl ether has monomer properties and can be used as a chemical intermediate or crosslinking agent.

3.Addition of isocyanic acid produces sec-diisocyanate. The divinyl ether is hydrolysed to ethylene diol and acetaldehyde. Chlorine or bromine is added to the double bond.

4.Reaction with alcohols in the presence of water produces diacetal.

5.Polymerisation of diethylene glycol divinyl ether with an acidic catalyst produces a cross-linked gel.

    Application:

1.Diethylene Glycol Divinyl Ether is a divinyl compound with high reactivity, excellent qualities and good consistency.

2.It is the best choice for various syntheses including polymerisation, addition and electrocyclic reactions. It can be used as polymerisation monomer, cross-linking monomer and UV curing reactive diluent.

3.It can be used in the mercury-free method of acetaldehyde and the synthesis of various polymer materials.

4.Unsaturated polyester crosslinked with styrene will reduce the hydroxyl group and acid value and is not corrosive to metals.

5.Diethylene glycol divinyl ether is an important raw material and intermediate for organic synthesis, medicine, pesticide and dye.

6.Diethylene Glycol Divinyl Ether is a reactive diluent for UV and peroxide cured adhesives and sealants. It is also a component of sulfur-based sealant compounds.

7.Diethylene Glycol Divinyl Ether is an active diluent for unsaturated polyesters, UV coatings and release coatings.

8.Diethylene glycol divinyl ether is used as a crosslinking agent in the production of polyacrylate ion exchange resin.
