Property:
It is clear and organic acidic liquid, free from suspended matter and with pungent odor and high corrosiveness. If it stains skin, it will cause pain and blisters. Its steam is poisonous and inflammable. It can be dissolved in water, ethanol, glycerol, but not in carbon disulfide. Specific gravity is 1.049; freezing point 16.7℃; boiling point: 118℃; flash point: 39℃.
Use:
An important, widely used organic chemical raw material, mainly used in the production of paint, adhesive, leatherette, oiling pad colorant, rayon etc. As solvent in printing ink; as adhesive in organic chemical reactions.
