    Solubility Incompatible with oxidizing agents, chlorine, phosphorus. Highly flammable. Readily forms explosive mixtures with air.

    Product Properties:

    Insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol, miscible in ether, chloroform. Its vapour and air form explosive mixtures, can cause combustion and explosion when exposed to open fire and high heat. Reacts strongly with oxidising agents.

    Product Application:

    1.Used as analytical reagent, petrol engine burst test standard, chromatographic analysis reference material, solvent.

    2.Used as a standard for determining octane number, also used as a protective agent, solvent and raw material for organic synthesis.
