Product Description:
Potassium Cyanide, an inorganic compound, is a white crystalline powder which is highly toxic. It deliquesces in moist air and emits traces of hydrogen cyanide gas. It is soluble in water, ethanol and glycerol, slightly soluble in methanol and aqueous sodium hydroxide, the aqueous solution is strongly alkaline and rapidly hydrolyses.
Application:
(1) Used in the flotation of ores to extract gold and silver.
(2) Heat treatment of iron and steel, manufacture of organic nitrile.
(3) Analytical chemistry as a reagent.
(4) Used in photography, etching, lithography.
