    Product Properties:

1.Benzene is one of the most important basic organic raw materials and is a representative of aromatic hydrocarbons. It has a stable six-membered ring structure.

2.The main chemical reactions are addition, substitution and ring-opening reaction. Under the action of concentrated sulfuric acid and nitric acid, it is easy to generate nitrobenzene by substitution reaction. React with concentrated sulfuric acid or fuming sulfuric acid to form benzenesulfonic acid. With metal halides such as ferric chloride as catalyst, halogenation reaction occurs at lower temperature to produce halogenated benzene. With aluminium trichloride as catalyst, alkylation reaction with olefins and halogenated hydrocarbons to form alkylbenzene; acylation reaction with acid anhydride and acyl chloride to form acylbenzene. In the presence of vanadium oxide catalyst, benzene is oxidised by oxygen or air to form maleic anhydride. Benzene heated to 700 ° C cracking occurs, generating carbon, hydrogen and a small amount of methane and ethylene and so on. Using platinum and nickel as catalysts, hydrogenation reaction is carried out to produce cyclohexane. With zinc chloride as catalyst, chloromethylation reaction with formaldehyde and hydrogen chloride to produce benzyl chloride. But the benzene ring is more stable, for example, with nitric acid, potassium permanganate, dichromate and other oxidants do not react.

3.It has high refractive property and strong aromatic flavour, flammable and toxic. Miscible with ethanol, ether, acetone, carbon tetrachloride, carbon disulfide and acetic acid, slightly soluble in water. Non-corrosive to metals, but the lower grade of benzene containing sulfur impurities on copper and some metals have obvious corrosive effect. Liquid benzene has degreasing effect, can be absorbed by the skin and poisoning, so should avoid contact with the skin.

4.Vapour and air to form explosive mixtures, the explosion limit of 1.5% -8.0% (volume).

    5.Stability:  Stable

6.Prohibited substances:  Strong oxidants, acids, halogens

    7.Polymerisation hazard:  Non-polymerisation

    Product Application:

Basic chemical raw materials, used as solvents and synthetic benzene derivatives, spices, dyes, plastics, pharmaceuticals, explosives, rubber, etc.

    Product Storage Notes:

1.Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse.

2.Keep away from fire and heat source.

3.The storage temperature should not exceed 37°C.

    4.Keep the container sealed.

5.It should be stored separately from oxidising agents, and should never be mixed.

6.Use explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities.

7.Prohibit the use of mechanical equipment and tools that are easy to generate sparks.

8.The storage area should be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and suitable shelter materials.
