    D-aspartic acid is used in the synthesis of sweeteners, in medicine for the treatment of heart disease, as a commonly used artificial sweetener such as liver function enhancer, ammonia detoxifier, fatigue eliminator, and amino acid infusion components, such as aspartame.

    Used for synthesizing potassium aspartate, for hypokalemia, and for arrhythmia caused by digitalis poisoning.
