Phenylacetic acid, an organic compound, is classified as a Class II easily controlled chemical.
Application:
(1) Phenylacetic Acid is an intermediate in the organic synthesis of pharmaceuticals, pesticides and fragrances.
(2) Phenylacetic Acid is an intermediate for organic synthesis of pharmaceuticals, pesticides and spices. It is used for the production of penicillin, diprazole and other drugs in the pharmaceutical industry.
(3) Phenylacetic Acid by chlorination, esterification to get α-chlorophenylacetic acid ethyl ester, used in the production of rice fungsan and ethyl rice fungsan, these two pesticides are broad-spectrum organophosphorus insecticides.
(4) Phenylacetic acid itself is also a pesticide plant growth hormone. Phenylacetic Acid is widely found in grapes, strawberries, cocoa, green tea and honey.
(5) Phenylacetic Acid has a sweet honey flavor at low concentrations, and still has a sweet taste below 1 ppm, making it an important flavor component.
