Product Description:
Industrial sodium metabisulfite is used in printing and dyeing, organic synthesis, printing, leather tanning, pharmaceuticals and other sectors.
Application:
1. Used as chromatographic reagent, preservative and reducing agent in dyestuff and pharmaceutical industries;
2. Used as bleaching agent, preservative, thinning agent, antioxidant, color protectant and preservative in food industry.
3. Pharmaceutical industry for the production of chloroform, benzyl alcohol and benzaldehyde. Rubber industry is used as coagulant. Printing and dyeing industry is used as cotton bleaching and dechlorinating agent and cotton refining auxiliary. Leather industry for leather treatment, can make the leather soft, full, tough, waterproof, folding, wear-resistant and so on. It is used in chemical industry for the production of hydroxyvanillin and hydroxylamine hydrochloride. Photographic industry as a developer, etc.
4. Water treatment: Sodium metabisulfite is a reducing agent, which is used as a treatment of chromium-containing wastewater in sewage treatment.
