Product Description:
Sodium Thiosulfate is used in tanning leather, extracting silver from ores, as a water treatment agent and in pharmaceuticals.
Application:
(1)Sodium Thiosulfate, commonly known as seaborne or baking soda, is a commonly used chemical raw material, used as a fixative in the photographic, film and printing plate industries.
(2)It is used as a reducing agent in tanning. In the paper and textile industry, it is used to remove residual bleach and as a mordant.
(3)In medicine, it is used as antidote for cyanide poisoning.
(4)In water treatment, it is used as dechlorinating agent and sterilizing agent for drinking water and wastewater; copper corrosion inhibitor for circulating cooling water; and deoxidizer for boiler water system.
(5)It is also used in the treatment of cyanide-containing wastewater.
