Product Description:
Triethyl orthoformate is a colourless transparent liquid, slightly soluble in water, soluble in most organic solvents such as ethanol and ether, mainly used as pharmaceutical intermediates and photosensitive materials.
Application:
(1) Triethyl orthoformate is an intermediate for the acaricide amitraz and the herbicide pyrazosulfuron, and is also used to make the antimalarial drugs chloroquine and quinpirole.
(2) It is used as a raw material for the preparation of the antimalarial drugs chloroquine and quinpiquine, photographic agents and photosensitive materials, as well as for the synthesis of methacrylate and anthocyanine dyes.
(3) It is also used as a raw material for the synthesis of the antimalarial drugs chloroquine and quinpirole. It is also used as a raw material for the synthesis of polymers, photographic agents, photographic materials, anti-glare dyes, and floral dyes. It is also used as a raw material for the production of polymers, photographic drugs, photographic materials, anti-halo dyes, anthocyanine dyes and synthetic pesticides.
