    Product Description:

Trimethyl orthoformate is used as a protecting group for aldehydes in organic synthesis, as an additive in polyurethane coatings and as a dehydrating agent in the preparation of surface-modified colloidal silica nanoparticles by Chemicalbook. It is also used as a chemical intermediate in the preparation of vitamin B1 and sulphonamides. It can be used as an effective solvent for thallium(III) nitrate mediated oxidation.

    Application:

    (1) It is mainly used as an intermediate in the production of vitamin B1, sulfa drugs, antibacterial agents and other drugs, as a raw material for spices and pesticides and as an additive in polyurethane coatings.

    (2) In pesticides, it is mainly used for the synthesis of pesticide intermediates such as pyrimethanil and dimethoate.

    (3) It is used in paint, dyestuff, fragrance and other industries.

Package: 25 kgs/bag or as you request.

Storage: Store at a ventilated, dry place.
