Product Description:
Colourless crystals, deliquescent. Nitric acid odour. Relative density 2.83, melting point 30°C. 80°C when all the water of crystallisation is lost. Easily precipitated alkali salt precipitate in contact with water. Soluble in dilute acid, glycerol, acetone, insoluble in ethanol and ethyl acetate. It has oxidising property. Contact with flammable products can cause fire. Irritating to skin.
Application:
Used as analytical reagent, catalyst, production of other bismuth salts, also used in the production of picture tubes and luminous paint.
